Question by April M: Should I allow my 10 month old pug to roam free while Im not home.?
We always kennel him while we are not home. In the past I have gated him in one room with his kennel, but he chewed the carpet and couch. Im wondering if he has seperation anxiety, or if he is just bored.

It all depends on your dog, and how much you trust him. If he’s already damaged some carpet and the couch, you’d have to have alot of faith in him. It’s possible that it could be sep. anxiety – maybe you could try 10 minute outings at first (you don’t even have to go far, just down the street) and then depending on how he is, gradually increase the time. Good luck!
Edit : you can also leave things for him, such as a Kong or something like that to keep his interest for a bit.

NOPE–dogs just naturally shed hair. You have to vacuum everyday

Question by bmgtrainer: How can I deter my chihuahua/pug mix from barking/growling at visitors in my home. He is loving with us..?
When people come over, our dog barks, and growls, and nips he is loving and cuddly with our immediate family. It doesn’t even make a difference when our other dog (jack/pug mix) is friendly and cuddly with anyone who comes in the house.I have tried to have the person offer treats, and he takes the treat but doesn’t warm up to others. He is such a great dog with us, and I want others to love him too!

I think u should take him to behavior classes. Behavior classes can usually cure this problem.

If you feed a good quality, complete puppy food then there should be no need for extra vitamin supplementation. The pet food companies spend a lot of time and money researching and making sure the diet contains everything a growing puppy needs.
